During this time, Marty placed special emphasis on combating the pernicious effects of home equity stripping, a predatory and abusive practice targeted at homeowners in foreclosure. In his last years at the Attorney General’s Office, Marty represented the Commissioner of Public Safety in a variety of DWI-related matters, and acquired a statewide reputation for aggressive but fair trial advocacy.
